Arrive in Lhasa Be greeted by your Tibetan guide & driver in Lhasa Gonggar airport or train station. On the way to Lhasa from the airport, you will see Nyetang Giant Buddha at the bank of the Kyichu River, 30ft high, which was caved in 11th century AD. Transfer to your Hotel Lhasa. The rest of the day will be at leisure for you to relax and acclimatize. Overnight in Lhasa.

Potala palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street Morning, visit Potala Palace, worldwidly known cardinal landmark of Tibet, which was built in the 7th century by the famous Tibetan king, Songtzen Gampo. It is the highest palace of the world, more than 3,700 meters above sea level. The massive structure itself contains a small world within it. Mostly it is known as the residence of the Dalai Lama lineages. The top of the palace called Golden Roofs. It’s the best spot to bird-view the whole city. Afternoon, visit Jokhang Temple, situated in the old section of Lhasa. King Songtzen Gampo built this temple in the mid-7th century A.D. Now it is one of the most sacred places for pilgrims all over the world. The circuit around it called Barkhor Street, a famous local handmade crafts market, which is a good place to purchase souvenirs. Overnight in Lhasa.

Nyangri Village Drive to Nyangri Villlage, which is 3KM north of Lhasa, famous for its Tibet Opera Folk Art Troupe, as cast members, they once participated the 2008 Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony. Today, you will have a chance to watch their daily drill; try to play some tibetan music instruments. Visit local gristmill, oil mill, farming instrument showroom to get a deeper understanding of knowing how the Tibetan peasantries work in the past Visit Culture and Ethnic Custom Garden, in the 12-acre garden, you could see the Tibetan Character Museum, with over 100 fantastic pieces of Thangka, showing 88 different kinds of ancient Tibetan words, the most famous one is printing hieroglyph which dates back to 4000 years ago, this is the oldest Tibetan words. In summer, there will be a Lingka Festival, enjoying the picnic in an open air ,live in the tent and ride yak,have lunch here, try some local food and drinks like yoghourt, yak meat, toasted mutton, etc. Overnight in Lhasa.

Yamdrok Lake Located 100 kilometers southwest of Lhasa, Yamdrok Lake is connected with Yarlung Tsangpo River. Yamdrok Lake, which means “the jade lake in the upper pastureland”or “Swan Lake”in Tibetan, is an out flowing lake. Over 72 km (45 miles) long, the lake is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains. It enjoys equal fame with Lake Namtso in North Tibet & Lake Mapam Yumco in Ali, and these three lakes are called the “Three Holy Lakes” of the Tibetan.
