Jomsom Muktinath Trekking is one of the most exciting treks in the Annapurna and Mustang regions of Nepal Himalaya. The Trek includes fascinating villages such as Gurung and Thakali, Apple Orchards, rhododendron forests, the deepest gorge in the world, and the desolate Tibetan plateau. It also includes monasteries and Hindu temples for its cultural and religious taste. With the highest point, Muktinath, this is a relatively low altitude trek, and it is suitable for almost everyone. It is one of the most effective ways to get closer to the Himalayas to see with a magnificent view of Mount Annapurna and Dhaulagiri as the highlight of the trip

Itinerary

After arriving in Kathmandu, a representative from Sea & Sky Tours & Travels Trekking & Expedition will pick up from the airport and take to our hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu

Early morning after breakfast at hotel, then drive to Pokhara, (Pokhara is located in the mid western Nepal and a six-hour drive or 20-minutes flight from Kathmandu. Pokhara, the centre of adventure in Nepal, is an enchanting city nestled in a tranquil valley. Due to its stunningly beautiful natural setting and the suitable base for trekking in the Annapurna region, Pokhara is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal after Kathmandu. It is the starting point for many of Nepal’s most popular trekking and rafting destinations. The majority of the people of Pokhara are Brahmins and Chettris from Kathmandu and Tibetan settlers) Arrive and lunch in Pokhara, rest then 1 hour Boating on Fewa Lake, free time lake side, dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Early morning after breakfast we drive to Naya Pul (1 hour and 20 minutes) and start the trek. Trek to Ghorepani 6-7 hours walking through jungle and up and downhill. During the trail you will enjoy birds watching. Ghorepani is one of the Gurung Village. They have own language, dress, typical foods, house. There is nice view of Annapurna South and Fishtail. Overnight stay at hotel.

Early in the morning you hike up 45 minutes to Poon Hill for sunrise (Poon Hill is one of the best place to view Sunrise in Nepal) from there we can see Marvelous view can be seen which are Annapurna ranges, Dhaulagiri ranges, Nilgiri ,Fishtail after taking good time in Poon Hill trek back down to the Ghorepani then trek to Sikha along the path that leads to the Rhodendrons forest and you can see the Annapurna South, hidden by a ridge smiling at you. We will walk past the villages of Banthanti and Nangathanti through the forest to reach Sikha. Overnight Stay at hotel.

A beautiful walk, with another transition into sub-tropical vegetation and the return of water buffalo, banyan trees and poinsettias. The trail follows the river through a narrow gorge, and descends to cross a bridge near a spectacular waterfall, before winding through the valley to Tatopani. The hot water springs that give the village its name provide the perfect opportunity for a good 'scrub. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Trek up to Kalopani 6-7 hours walking through Kali Gandaki Valley .During the trail we will cross Thakali houses. From Kalopani Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains are visible on the way. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Morning after breakfast trek to Marpha 6-7 hours walking to Marpha village. This town is famous for Apple, don't miss to eat Apple Pia and Apple Juice. Overnight stay at a hotel.

We make a steep climb up the Jhong Khola valley we then join the direct trail to Muktinath just below Khingar at 3,200m. From here trail continues high above the Jhong Khola to the imposing village of Jharkot at 3,500m. well worth exploring. As we leave Jharkot, the trail climbs up to our ultimate destination of Muktinath at 3,802m. We initially visit Ranipauwa, there are many teahouses and shops. Further 10 minutes walks up the hill, we will be rewarded with the actual religious site of Muktinath. Muktinath is a pilgrimage center for Buddhists and Hindus. Holy water flows from the 108 carved spouts surrounding the Vishnu temple in a grove of poplars. There are shrines in a grove of trees including a Buddhists Gompa & the Vishnu temple of Jwalamai. An old temple nearby shelters a spring and natural gas jets that provides Muktinath’s famous eternal flame. It’s the earth-water- fire combination that accounts for Muktinath’s great religious significance. Overnight stay at a hotel.

From Muktinath, we climb along the side of the valley to Jomsom at 2,713m. Jomsom is a large, bustling settlement and it’s the administrative centre to the region that contains the airport, army camp, hotels, shops, banks and government offices. We cross the river to the eastern bank; then walk towards Eklai Bhatti at 2,730m. From here we take a direct route via Kagbeni to Jomsom however we follow the trail along the river to Kagbeni at 2,810meters which is situated at the junction of the Jhong Khola & the Kali Gandaki which is the northern most village that can be visited without a permit to continue on to Mustang. This village is fascinating with its rich Tibetan cultures and their unique hospitality which influences us greatly continue to Jomsom. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Morning after breakfast then take a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara then continue flight to Kathmandu via Pokhara, Arrive Kathmandu then free time for We enjoy the day leisurely or catch up on some last minute shopping or explore any landmarks we missed during our first day in Kathmandu. Evening celebrate the successful completion of our journey, we will have a farewell dinner in the evening with live folk music and cultural dance, and overnight stay at hotel.

Today we will visit some historic place in Kathmandu and will also have free time for shopping around Thamel and Ason, evening dinner at restaurant then transfer to Airport 3 hour before of scheduled flight. On your way to home.
